Clementine Paloma (Para Navidad)

Love a Margarita? A Paloma is a great alternative. My friend Camilla has spent years in Mexico and assures me that my recipe is nothing like the original, made with a Brazilian grapefruit soda. Whatever we call it, she agrees that here the clementine juice here gives it a delicious festive twist.

Clementine Paloma (Para Navidad)

Serves 1

1 shot clementine juice (equivalent to 1-1/2 clementines

2 shots tequila (Añejo if you can find it)

Long: Soda water, crushed ice

Short: 1 large ice cube

  1. Squeeze your clementine. If you’re making a batch, then using clementine juice (not from concentrate) will work fine
  2. For a long drink, combine your tequila and juice in the base of the glass, top with crushed ice and stir vigorously. Top up with soda and more ice
  3. For a short drink, combine the tequila and juice and pour over a single giant ice cube
